Digital Tooling Process Management and Traceability System

Tooling process activities are currently recorded and tracked manually, creating dependency on physical records, delays in status updates, difficulty in retrieving historical information and limited process traceability. The challenge is to develop a digital system that captures the complete tooling process flow, provides real-time status visibility, maintains historical records and enables systematic monitoring and reporting.

Digital 4M Change Management and Traceability System

Internal product and process 4M changes require structured initiation, cross-functional review, approvals and historical traceability. Manual tracking can lead to missed actions and difficulty retrieving past records. The challenge is to create a digital workflow for raising, reviewing, approving and maintaining 4M change records.

Digital Product Audit and Revalidation Audit Management Dashboard

Product Audit and Revalidation Audit activities are currently planned, executed, reported and closed through manual records. Audit schedules, reports, Non-Conformance (NC) details, action plans, supporting evidence and closure approvals are maintained separately, increasing administrative effort and making it difficult to obtain real-time visibility of audit status and overdue actions. The challenge is to develop a centralized digital audit management dashboard covering the complete workflow from monthly planning and daily auditor scheduling through digital reporting, NC action assignment, evidence verification, closure and final approval by the Auditing Head.

Paperless Digital Shift Data Management System

Shift-wise production data, process parameters, shift handover points, cleaning activities, abnormalities and other operational records are currently recorded manually at different locations. Develop a paperless digital platform for real-time recording, monitoring and shift-to-shift communication.

Real-Time Production Monitoring and Performance Analytics Dashboard

Production information such as machine status, output, cycle time, downtime and alarms is available through separate sources, limiting real-time visibility of overall performance. The challenge is to develop an integrated monitoring system that captures relevant shop-floor information and presents real-time and historical insights for faster production decisions.

Smart Converter Shell Temperature Monitoring and Alert System

Converter shell temperature is currently measured periodically using a handheld temperature gun and recorded manually. This is time-consuming, prone to missed entries and does not provide continuous trends. The challenge is to automatically measure, record and monitor shell temperature in real time, provide digital traceability and alert users to abnormal conditions.

CED Coating Wagon Alarm, Error and Production Analytics through SCADA

CED coating wagon error and alarm history and production information require improved digital visibility for troubleshooting and performance analysis. When records are not centrally captured, recurring faults and their production impact are difficult to analyse. The challenge is to implement or prototype a SCADA-based monitoring system that captures wagon status, alarms, errors and production data and provides historical reports and actionable trends.

Integrated Digital Sand Quality Management and Rejection Analytics System

Routine sand parameters are tested hourly and chemical parameters shift-wise across D1, D2, D3 and D4 lines. Results and corresponding graphs are currently recorded manually, making historical retrieval, comparison, trend identification and rejection analysis difficult. The challenge is to digitize the existing sand testing format so entered values are automatically compared with specifications, classified as OK/Not OK, graphed online, stored historically and linked to rejection analysis.

Real-Time CMM Quality Dashboard with Automatic Non-Conformance Alerts

CMM inspection results are critical for dimensional quality control. When a CMM report indicates a Not OK condition, the concerned process needs immediate visibility so that corrective action can be initiated without delay. At present, consolidated real-time visibility of inspected quantity, OK/Not OK status and corrective-action closure is limited. The challenge is to develop an online CMM monitoring system that consolidates inspection results, provides actionable dashboards and automatically alerts the responsible process when non-conforming results are detected.

Automated Inspection Layout Generation from 2D Engineering Drawings

Inspection and process layouts are prepared using approved 2D engineering drawings to identify and organize dimensional and quality characteristics for inspection. Manual preparation can be time-consuming, particularly for drawings containing numerous dimensions and revisions, and may create risk of missed characteristics or revision mismatch. The challenge is to develop a digital solution that interprets an approved 2D drawing, assists in generating the required inspection layout and maintains the resulting layout with appropriate revision control and traceability.

Smart Storage and Traceability System for Gauges and Measuring Instruments

Gauges and measuring instruments are currently stored in cupboards using carton boxes, limiting visibility, organized access, preservation and quick identification of the required instrument. Inappropriate storage can also increase handling time and the risk of damage, misplacement or use of the wrong instrument. The challenge is to design a transparent, organized and smart storage system that enables easy identification, controlled storage and traceability of gauges and measuring instruments.

Wireless Measurement Data Integration with SPC Reports

Measurement results used for SPC reporting are currently entered manually by QC personnel. Re-entering values from measuring instruments increases reporting time and creates the possibility of transcription errors. The challenge is to establish secure wireless or equivalent digital connectivity between applicable measuring instruments and the SPC system so that measurement values are captured automatically in the correct report field and immediately available for statistical analysis.
